Pulp & Paper
Drive solutions for Pulp and Paper
Pulp and paper is today one of our larger and strategically important segments. We see long-term growth in the area as machine manufacturers and mills invest in modernization, efficiency and sustainable production. Through robust design, careful sizing and optimized choice of materials, we deliver drive solutions that cope with demanding process environments with high loads, moisture, chemicals, vibration and temperature variations – with a focus on long service life and minimized downtime.
Our screw jacks and electromechanical cylinders
In the wet end of the paper machine, our screw jacks are used where the wet pulp is formed and processed in several stages before it becomes finished paper. Here, high resistance to corrosive environments, strength, stable positioning and reliable function are decisive for ensuring consistent quality and avoiding production disruptions.
We also supply screw jacks and electromechanical cylinders for wash presses in pulp production. In these applications the solutions are used to open and close hatches and other parts of the equipment during service and maintenance. The design is sized to cope with harsh operating conditions while enabling safe and efficient access during planned shutdowns.

Requirements and quality in pulp and paper production
At the start of a project, the technical requirements are defined in close cooperation between our design engineers and the customer’s. Development takes place in dialogue throughout the process to ensure the right performance, safety level and service life.
The requirements may include:
- High resistance to moisture, chemicals and temperature variations
- Adapted enclosure and the right choice of materials
- Precise positioning
- High strength and defined safety margins
For applications with high loads, we carry out detailed calculations for correct sizing and ensure that the required safety factors are maintained. We are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, which guarantees structured processes, quality assurance and systematic environmental work. Our objective is consistent delivery precision and a minimal level of complaints.
Compatibility and service life
After many years of deliveries to machine manufacturers in the paper industry, our products have evolved in parallel with the industry’s technological development. Motors, encoders and constituent components are continuously updated to meet new requirements for performance and integration.
When supplying spare parts for older systems, we strive to meet the need in the original design. If a technology has been discontinued, we develop adapted replacement solutions in cooperation with the customer to ensure continued function and availability.
Since the products in this segment are often not run continuously, the actual service life is very long. When needed, we use advanced calculation tools to determine the theoretical service life and optimize the sizing over time.
With clear drawing documentation and a documented history, we ensure efficient deliveries of spare parts and replacement units, even many years after the original installation.
